The Easter Egg Hunt for the visually impaired is scheduled for April 7th, 2013. The event will be at the Gillet School just West of Prospect High. This is what is meant by “We Serve”.
May 3rd and 4th are Tootsie Pop Days. Since we are currently soliciting funds for the July Festival and Raffle, the Board of Directors has decided to suspend public solicitation. At the two meetings May 9th and 23rd we will be soliciting donations from the members for this worthy cause. The money that is collected will go to the Lions of Illinois Foundation to help defray expenses for quality programs and services to the people of Illinois for the detection, treatment, and rehabilitation of visual and hearing impairments.
Saturday, May 18, 2013 the Village of Mount Prospect Public Works will be sponsoring an Open House from 9:00 AM until 1:00 PM. The Lions Club donates and serves approximately 1300 hot dogs with the trimmings, pop and coffee and 18 dozen sweet rolls and cookies.

On Thursday, June 14th following an excellent dinner at Manzo’s Banquets, the 2013-2014 Mount Prospect Officers will be inducted as executive leaders of the Club.
The 74th Annual Mount Prospect Lions Club Festival will run from July 3rd through July 7th at Melas Park located at Busse and Central Roads. The festival will feature Carnival Rides, Food Court, Beer Garden, Daily Raffles and Musical Entertainment. A Family Day will be on Sunday, July 7th with many children's games and other activities. On July 4th and July 7th at dusk the Club will present a firework show to the envy of every town in the Northwest Suburbs.
